BiografiePyuria was founded back in late ´96 by the combined frustration and inspiration of the former drummer and Oskari. Those angry young men begun pouring out their potential synergies in a very metallic fashion. The line-up went back and forth in those days. And after some rather unlucky experiments with vocalists, Oskari eventually had enough, and took over the vocal duties himself, and finally completing the sound of oesophagus. Adding on to that, came Tapza, the next member in our wicked family, bringing on his six-string molestery and allowing us to more accurately take the Pyuria-sound out from the studio and on to the stages.

Long pause followed the RagnaRock mayhem at 3/8/2000... Violent strike of the pyuria tears us apart; tuberculosis, cancer and acute glomerulonephritis.

At August 2002 we started with a new line-up. Pyuria got two new members, Sami (drums) and Valtteri (bass). Music has growth into it´s fast and furious place within the new line-up, after observation of this worldwide hate and just life (&death) itself.

From the first gig things started rolling towards the first demo (which sounded like a vacuum cleaner on drugs, but was recorded for free), a compilation album and two CD-singles. (Of which all but the first tape demo has been receiving air-play on a national radiostation.) At 2003 new material has been delivered via live-gigs and new EP finally came out.
