BiografieGrime began its miserable existence in Trieste, Italy during the summer of 2010, when four musicians, addicted to heavy and filthy sounds, banded together to create something dark and terrible. They had already shared the stage while playing in previous bands, such as Southern Lord signings The Secret, and though quite diverse in style found they all shared the passion for groups like Black Sabbath, Pentagram, Grief, Sourvein, Eyehategod and Buzzov’en.



They mastered a slow and heavy groove, wielding vintage instruments in a dirty, vicious sound that could have be dug up from a graveyard. Guitar riffs are a sharpened blade covered with rust, drums and bass hit with the unstoppable power of a mud avalanche. Their songs are the voice of a decaying city, oozing from sores and filled with depression, abuse, addictions and frustration.



They signed to cult U.K. label Mordgrimm in December 2011 to release their first self-recorded 6 track CD, that will be out in July 2012 with a killer artwork by Dilek Baykara, a kick-ass young artist from New York.



They have shared the stage with bands such as Cough, The Secret, Tombs, Morkobot to name a few, also touring parts of Europe and Scandinavia with Slovenian doom/crust combo Leechfeast in 2011. Their track Charon was chosen by Cough for the mixtape they put together for the widely regarded CVLT Nation blog.



Grime are due to enter the studio in early June to record their second album, which will be their first full-length, before playing some European festivals in midsummer.
