Mortal Infinity is a five-membered modern thrash/groove metal band from Altötting, Germany. They play a style of mainly thrash metal, with some death metal , and new wave of American heavy metal influences. They are stated to be influenced by thrash metal bands such as Metallica, Exodus, Pantera or Testament and modern bands such as Lamb Of God. The band was formed in late 2008 by bass player Sigi Weinhart and vocalist Marc Doblinger. The pair recruited Manuel Sauerlachner on drums and Max Kühnel on guitar to complete the line-up. After a few practice sessions Doblinger and Weinhart decided to go into another direction and the band was recommended to Thomas Burgstaller in 2009. At the same time Kühnel was replaced by Thomas Harlander and Sebastian Unrath. After a few months, drummer Thomas Burgstaller decided to leave the band because of health problems. Despite that the band continued writing new songs without a drummer. In March 2010 the Band recorded its first EP called Eternal War. For their recording sessions they committed ND Angel, the former drummer of Predatory Violence as their studio drummer. While recording the first Songs the band met drummer Frank Fiedler. After one session they knew that Fiedler fits perfectly in the band and now he is the constant Drummer of Mortal Infinity.
